TAF Blog
The TAF Blog is an online platform to for anyone and everyone working in ag to share their ideas with agricultural industry peers. Tell us what you think is important to Australia’s agricultural future. How is the industry currently performing as a whole? What are the KPIs also known as measures of effectiveness and are we doing enough of the measurement to help with informed decision making? Where should we be investing more into? Where are the talent gaps that need to be filled and how does affect economic sovereignty? Where is the potential for more collaboration and cooperation? What are some noteworthy recent triumphs in advanced agriculture here and around the world? What are some perennial challenges unique to farming in Australia? How far have we come in the last decade/s? What are the issues around commercialisation for Australian ag? Do we have enough “agri-preneurs”? How can we leverage our world class universities more? Where are the handbrakes affecting early adoption of applied agricultural science, technology, and innovation in Australia? Are farmers in Australia too risk averse or risk seeking? Are we good at dealing with the inherent complexity found in agriculture? Is there enough “cross pollination” happening, for those universally relevant advanced ag principle and practices, across the different ag commodity producer groups?
Remember to tell us who you are (first name only is OK), what you do, and where you are located. You might, for example, be a new or experienced farmer, an agricultural supplier, an agronomist, a scientist or researcher working in a university or agricultural research institute, a high school teacher or student, the CEO of an agribusiness corporate, a food manufacturing manager, an agricultural enthusiast, or the wider general public.
